Oh, a storm is threatening
My very life today
If I don’t get some shelter
Oh yeah, I’m gonna fade away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away…
In the week following President Obama’s major announcement of plans to transfer military priorities from Iraq to Afghanistan and Pakistan, and with his recent trip to Iraq, the mainstream US media has begun to discuss the war efforts as if things have been quiet of late. In fact, as mentioned in our battlefield report, in the past month, for the first time since 2002, Iraq did not reach the top 10 news stories in the US.
Considering the lack of coverage, we decided to track and present to you a blow-by-blow account of the ongoing war death toll from March 26th – April 6th.
